This specific role supports surgical and procedural clinical practices, as well as sterile processing and high-level disinfection operations throughout Southwest Wisconsin. The RN Resource Specialist partners with local and regional Nursing leadership to coordinate on-site evaluations of policies, procedures, and practices, focusing on areas such as surgical and procedural nursing, pre/post care, and instrumentation/equipment. For Surgical Services, this includes sterile processing and high-level disinfection of operating/procedural room equipment and instrumentation. The role involves developing and maintaining relationships, supporting practice and policy procedures, evaluating quality assurance programs against industry standards, providing summarized audit reports, and developing recommendations. The specialist will also assist in training, analyzing work processes, implementing changes, and providing information for leadership decision-making. Additionally, this role contributes to developing strategies for electronic medical record modifications related to nursing practice and education. Some employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle. This role is eligible for TN sponsorship, and holders of F1 status eligible for post-completion OPT are welcome to apply, though it is not eligible for the F-1 STEM OPT extension program. Successful sponsorship requires state licensure and completion of VisaScreen or equivalent certification.
