About The Position

Baystate Health is seeking new graduate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join the MedSurg/Telemetry team and Nurse Residency Program at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Our inpatient acute care team provides comprehensive nursing care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs, including telemetry and intermediate care. As a Nurse Resident, you will build a broad clinical skill set while receiving structured education, hands-on experience, and support as you transition from nursing student to professional RN. The Nurse Residency Program runs alongside your RN position and provides additional education, development, and support as you begin your nursing career. As a Nurse Resident, you will benefit from a comprehensive unit-based orientation designed to support your transition into practice, professional development pathways specifically designed for nurse residents, a diverse and engaging learning curriculum, support at the unit, program, organizational, and system levels, peer support and opportunities to learn alongside other new graduate nurses, opportunities to shadow departments across Baystate Health and explore future career paths, a multimodal orientation program incorporating evidence-based online education, interactive classroom learning, and high-fidelity simulation, and personalized professional development, continued learning, and opportunities for cross-training into specialty areas.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Massachusetts Registered Nurse license.
  • American Heart Association BLS CPR certification. BLS may be obtained after offer, as applicable.
  • Diploma in Nursing (Required)
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Registered Nurse - State of Massachusetts

Responsibilities

  • Care for patients with medical, surgical, telemetry, and intermediate-care needs.
  • Assess patients and monitor for changes in condition, including cardiac rhythms.
  • Develop your skills in individualized nursing care, medications, treatments, and interventions.
  • Utilize advanced telemonitoring technology with access to specialists and resources throughout Baystate Health.
  • Work alongside a strong clinical support team, including leadership, educators, and coordinators.
