This is a 52-week residency program with three 12.5-hour shifts, consisting of classroom didactics, skill labs, simulation labs, a two-week critical care course, and clinical hours with Clinical Nurse Educators and preceptors. After the first 16 weeks, nursing residents transition to a full-time clinical setting with preceptors, including a two-week rotation with the Emergency Department Critical Care nurse.
