About The Position

This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to both renal and non-renal patients. The nurse will learn and perform peritoneal dialysis, manage and support hemodialysis care, and educate patients and families on care and recognizing medical attention signs. The position is full-time with a night shift schedule.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

• 6 months of acute care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Learns and performs peritoneal dialysis, providing safe treatment and monitoring patients for complications.
• Manages and supports hemodialysis care, ensuring treatments are delivered correctly and patients are closely monitored.
• Teaches and supports families, educating them on how to care for their family members and recognize signs that need medical attention.
• Provides medical nursing care to both renal and non-renal patients, using clinical skills to support a wide range of patient needs.
