About The Position

Ascension Via Christi, Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Acute Rehab department. This is a full-time, day shift position in Wichita, KS. Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary care as the primary point of contact to ensure seamless, well-rounded patient recovery plans.
  • Implement and monitor customized care plans, tracking patient conditions to proactively communicate updates and ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Deliver direct, high-quality nursing care in strict alignment with organization protocols to champion patient safety and recovery.
  • Execute medical orders precisely by accurately carrying out physician and nursing directives to advance patient health.
  • Assess and drive discharge planning collaboratively with the healthcare team to prepare patients for a safe, successful transition home.
