We are currently looking to fill a Part-Time opportunity for a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse at Chénchenstway located in Burnaby, B.C. Joining the Fraser Health team offers you opportunities to work in a rapidly growing organization with health professionals who are excellent in their respective fields, career growth and advancement, a competitive compensation package (including four weeks of vacation to start, comprehensive health benefits, and pension plan), and the rewarding opportunity to make a difference every single day in health care. Chénchenstway is a 216-bed long-term care community offering residents privacy and comfort with private rooms, individual washrooms, and accessible outdoor spaces. Formerly the New Vista long-term care home, the renovations were undertaken in partnership with Providence Health Care and Vancouver Coastal Health to help ensure that more seniors have access to high-quality and dignified care. Chénchenstway is a Squamish word that means ‘to lift each other up.’ Fraser Health is grateful to the Squamish community for gifting this name to the home. Burnaby is a rapidly growing metropolitan area at the geographic centre of Metro Vancouver with different municipalities at all its borders. The city is recognized as one of the Lower Mainland’s most attractive suburbs and is known for its schools, lakes, and mountains. It has one of the highest parkland-to-resident ratios in all of North America and is home to a wide variety of arts and culture. There is always something new to experience. In accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) Standards of Nursing Practice and the Mission and Values of Fraser Health, the Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RN/RPN) works collaboratively and in partnership with the interdisciplinary team in the provision of person-centered care to diverse populations. Utilizing an outcome-oriented approach and reflecting evidence-informed practice, the RN/RPN provides direct nursing care designed to meet the needs of residents/clients and their families. Works in partnership with Licensed Practical Nurses and other members of the interdisciplinary team by sharing information, demonstrating and/or providing guidance on clinical care.
