About The Position

CBI Home Health supports people at home and in the community. We are one of Canada’s leading specialized community services, home and integrated care providers, operating in more than 800 communities across the country. Our teams work together to deliver the right care at the right time, helping people live safely, independently, and with dignity. CBI Home Health is looking to hire Registered Nurse/Registered Practical Nurse in Renfrew and Pembroke. This posting is to build a talent pool for future potential openings. The role is not currently vacant. Applicants may be contacted as opportunities become available and will be kept on file for up to 12 months and reviewed as openings arise.

Requirements

  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
  • Professional Liability Insurance (WeRPN/RNAO)
  • A clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening results in the past 12 months
  • Proof of negative TB test and professional liability insurance
  • Ability to travel independently within the community
  • A valid driver's license (G2/G) and vehicle insurance are required
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Palliative training is considered an asset
  • Pediatric experience is considered an asset
  • Bilingual in French is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Make a difference in the lives of people within their homes, schools (pediatric) and other community locations.
  • Apply clinical skills in areas such as wound care, IV therapy, palliative care, pediatric care, tube feeding and medication administration, as well as health teaching.
  • Utilize a person and family centered approach to care to guide decision making and facilitate collaborative care with each member of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Navigate clients and families to other resources to help them meet their goals.
