About The Position

This is an employment register for Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives interested in casual, fixed-term full-time, or part-time employment in acute and sub-acute settings across multiple locations including Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, North West Regional Hospital (Burnie), and Mersey Community Hospital (Latrobe). The register is open until June 30, 2028, and inclusion does not guarantee employment. Separate registers exist for Community Nursing and Mental Health Nursing. A special 'Refresher Program' is available for experienced midwives seeking to return to practice, offering incentives, a subsidized refresher course, and supported practice hours.

Requirements

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse OR Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and as a Registered Midwife
• Pre-employment checks including conviction check (crimes of violence, sex related offences, serious drug offences, crimes involving dishonesty), identification check, and disciplinary action in previous employment check.
• May require a current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.
