About The Position

This position is located at the California Proton Therapy Center. The role involves providing care to pediatric patients with various oncology diagnoses, including brain tumors, Ewings Sarcoma, Rhabdomyosarcoma, and lymphomas. The patient population averages 15 to 25 per day and includes Blood and Marrow Transplantation. The position is within a Proton Center and requires skills in IV starts, port-a-cath accessing, imaging and radiation treatment under general anesthesia, pre-procedure check-in, PACU recovery, central line maintenance, and medication administration.

Requirements

• CA RN license
• 1 year of pediatric hem/onc inpatient or outpatient experience
• 4 years as an RN
• Central line and IV start experience
• Experience in radiation therapy and/or sedation
• BLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)

Responsibilities

• Provide care to pediatric patients with oncology diagnoses.
