About The Position

MN Care Services is seeking a compassionate, organized, and collaborative Registered Nurse to provide clinical oversight for the people we serve. This position is ideal for an RN who enjoys balancing clinical expertise with leadership, education, and regulatory compliance in a mission-driven environment. As our Part-Time Registered Nurse, you will serve as one of the organization's clinical resources, helping ensure individuals receive safe, person-centered healthcare while supporting staff through education, consultation, and ongoing clinical guidance. This position requires periodic ground travel to sites across Minnesota. Mileage Reimbursement will be made available if a personal vehicle is used; a company vehicle will also be available for use, where mileage would not be reimbursed.

Requirements

  • Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum five years of nursing experience
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
  • Supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
  • Experience training and developing staff
  • Experience in 245D services, waiver services, assisted living, home health, case management, hospice, or community health
  • Knowledge of Minnesota DHS regulations and 245D requirements
  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, or complex medical needs

Responsibilities

  • Conduct nursing assessments and health evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and review Individualized Health Care Plans.
  • Monitor health conditions and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Review physician orders and ensure implementation.
  • Coordinate healthcare services with physicians, specialists, pharmacies, guardians, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Provide consultation regarding changing medical conditions.
  • Supervise one direct report through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for leadership and direct support professionals.
  • Support managers with healthcare-related decision making.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Train employees on medication administration, delegated nursing tasks, and health-related procedures.
  • Complete competency evaluations and ongoing clinical observations.
  • Provide education regarding common medical conditions, infection prevention, emergency response, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Minnesota 245D licensing requirements, DHS regulations, and applicable healthcare standards.
  • Complete documentation audits and medication reviews.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and regulatory preparedness.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and nursing records.
  • Other duties as assigned
