Registered Nurse - Pulmonary 300 E South - Full Time - Day Shift
About The Position
CoxHealth South is seeking a Registered Nurse for their 300 East Med-Surg Pulmonary unit. This unit is described as a challenging, fast-paced environment that delivers specialized care with an emphasis on telemetry, vascular surgery, and respiratory support. The unit fosters strong teamwork and offers opportunities for professional growth, such as certification and leadership roles. The Medical-Surgical nurse is responsible for managing the care of adult or geriatric patients with general medical conditions or surgical procedures. This includes assessing patient condition, administering medications, changing dressings, monitoring vital signs, keeping records, and providing patient and family support and education. The role requires a broad knowledge of medical care to manage a diverse patient population.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved nursing program
- No prior experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
- Exhibits valuable time management skills
- Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
- MO Nursing License
