Registered Nurse (Psychiatry/Addiction Medicine)
About The Position
Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Psychiatry/Addiction Medicine Unit. The unit offers voluntary, short-term inpatient treatment for adults 18 years of age and older. They assist patients in completing medical detoxification and withdrawal from alcohol, sedatives, and opiates, while also providing comprehensive medical and psychiatric care. The unit treats the entire range of psychiatric illnesses and provides a safe and supportive environment for recovery. Treatment modalities include group therapy, occupational therapy, spiritual care, yoga and movement therapy, music and art therapy, case management, and discharge planning. Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital's inpatient unit for psychiatry and addiction medicine is one of several treatment programs operated by Cottage Health. Other services offered at their acute and sub-acute care facilities in Santa Barbara include residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation and intensive outpatient programming. Requirements
- Requires at least 1 year acute care or mental health nursing experience
- California RN license
- BLS from the American Heart Association.
