About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a Psychiatric RN's for multiple travel / contract positions in Springfield, MO. Accepting both local and traveler candidates. The RN will provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs in the assigned units (Adult, Adolescent, Child). Develop and implement nursing care plans. The RN will maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions. The RN will provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures. Ensure physicians’ orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately per policy and procedure. Ensure patients’ status is assessed on an ongoing basis and pertinent information is gathered and documented. Notify physicians of significant changes in status. The RN will ensure that initial nursing treatment plans are completed upon admission and that all nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs. Comfortable with paper charting.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse: 1+ years - Required
  • Recent/Current Inpatient Psychiatric Nursing or Behavioral health: 1+ year – Required
  • Must be comfortable with all patient ages (Adult, Adolescent and Child) - Requied
  • Must be comfortable with paper charting
  • ASN or an equivalent – Required
  • RN License for State applying or Compact if accpeted in the state Required
  • BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required

Nice To Haves

  • BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
  • CPI or HWC Certification - Preferred
