Registered Nurse - Psych/Swedish Hospital - Per Diem
About The Position
This is a Per Diem Registered Nurse position at Swedish Hospital, working the Evening Shift (3:00-11:30pm). This role requires weekend and holiday availability and a Per Diem Level 2 commitment, meaning 73-110 hours per 6-week schedule. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to provide and evaluate patient care, maintain competency, contribute to professional development, integrate ethical provisions and evidence-based practice, and promote safety. The role also involves guiding and supervising staff, enhancing professional growth, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, and ensuring thorough and timely documentation. Other related duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.
- Communicates effectively and is able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
- Current Illinois Nursing licensure
- American Heart Association CPR Certification
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience as a staff nurse.
- ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required within six months depending on the unit requirements
