About The Position
Join Harborview Medical Center's teams of outstanding Psychiatry Registered Nurses (RN). Harborview Medical Center is a level one adult and pediatric trauma center as well as regional burn center for a four-state region; a teaching and research hospital for the University of Washington; and a public/safety-net hospital for our diverse community. The unit is a 21-bed unit with 2:1 staffing ratios and 24/7 security. The ICU patient population is primarily involuntary. Our nurses and staff understand de-escalation, seclusion, and restraint techniques. Our staff deal with a broad range of complex mental health and medical diagnosis. This is a regular, 90% FTE position.
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
- Have/obtain a WA state nursing license to practice or MSL.
- One or more years in psych nursing or acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for adult patients (18-99+) on two acute care floors, Psych Intensive Care Unit (Psych ICU), and Psych Emergency Service (PES).
- Utilize de-escalation, seclusion, and restraint techniques.
- Manage a broad range of complex mental health and medical diagnoses.
Benefits
- BSN or higher $1.00/hr
- Certification pay $1.25/hr
- Weekend shift differential $4.00/hr
- Overtime pay
