Registered Nurse - Psych/Behavioral Health
About The Position
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a specialization in Psychiatric/Behavioral Health for an inpatient setting. This role requires a minimum of 1 year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience and recent hospital nursing experience within the past 5 years. While an active Oregon RN license is preferred, candidates must be willing to obtain one if they do not currently hold it. The position also requires BLS and CPI certifications, which can be obtained during compliance if not active at submission. A current specialty skills checklist completed within the past year is also necessary. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, wound/skin care, pain management, and electronic medical record documentation. Additionally, expertise in behavioral health crisis intervention, patient safety, and de-escalation techniques is crucial. The role involves supervising assistive personnel and collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary treatment team. Essential skills include strong critical thinking, patient education, communication, and emergency response capabilities. The nurse will be expected to work 12-hour night shifts.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience.
