About The Position

This 18-bed unit is committed to delivering the best, high quality, compassionate care to multi-specialty med-surg patients. In addition, we specialize with heart failure patients and cardiac diagnoses. We ensure to focus on a partnership approach to deliver excellent care to every patient. Our nurses possess attributes of clinical expertise, accept learning, spirit of inquiry, professionally engaged and cultivate new relationships. Our variety of patients include those with Cardiac diagnoses, step down patients, Resp Failure, Sepsis, DKA, variety of diagnoses. We are a great unit to build a strong nursing foundation and critical thinking while collaborating with an excellent team of nursing staff. Nursing skills gained on this unit: ACLS required Caring for Progressive level of care patients (stepdown from critical care Patients going to cardiac procedures Unit Successes/Designations: Over 6.5 years No CAUTI Daisy & Bee Nominees and Awards Certified RNs Being one of the only designated HF units in the United States Heart Failure Certification Magnet Hospital Unit Culture: Teamwork is a culture on this unit. “No one gets left behind.” Compassionate and Caring RNs some with up to 30 years’ experience and knowledge. Requirements

  • Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • Current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
