About The Position

This is a 13-week contract assignment for a Cardiac RN in a 30-bed cardiac care unit. The role involves 36 guaranteed hours per week, working 12-hour variable shifts (day or night). The position requires coverage for two weekends per month and every other holiday. Floating to other inpatient units may be necessary. During low census, travelers may be placed on call with callback pay. Orientation-week hours are not guaranteed.

Requirements

Must live outside the 50-mile radius requirement.
Valid Minnesota RN license.
BLS certification through AHA or ARC.
ACLS certification through AHA or ARC.
NIHSS certification.
At least 2 years of critical care experience.
Strong telemetry interpretation skills.
Experience managing acute coronary syndrome (NSTEMI/STEMI).
Experience with post-cardiac catheterization patients.
Experience caring for patients with acute and chronic heart failure.
Knowledge of cardiac pharmacology (antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants, vasoactive infusions).
Associate Degree.

Nice To Haves

Prior travel experience.
BSN degree.
Epic charting experience.

Responsibilities

Provide care in a 30-bed cardiac care unit.
Manage patients with a 1:4 ratio.
Work 12-hour variable shifts, including day and night rotations.
Cover two weekends per month and every other holiday.
Float to inpatient units such as oncology, neurology, orthopedics, med/surg, and IMCU as needed.
Be available to be placed on call during low census periods.
Perform telemetry interpretation.
Manage acute coronary syndrome (NSTEMI/STEMI).
Provide care for post-cardiac catheterization patients.
Care for patients with acute and chronic heart failure.
Administer and manage cardiac pharmacology, including antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants, and vasoactive infusions.
Utilize Epic charting system.
