Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit
About The Position
Sentara RMH Medical Center is now hiring a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care unit. This position is ideal for candidates who have experience or interest in working in a high acuity unit. The patient population includes individuals experiencing pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, numbness, and problems with sleep. The role involves assisting families with medical decisions by providing a better understanding of their medical condition and choices for medical care. Strong customer service and a great work ethic are sought after. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is offered, along with relocation assistance.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse
- Associates Degree - Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree - Nursing
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
- Adhering to the standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation).
- Following the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health).
- Possessing clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
