RN/Registered Nurse- Progressive Care Unit
About The Position
Trinity Health Livonia is seeking an experienced Canadian Registered Nurse for a full-time position in their Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This 40-bed unit specializes in the care of stroke patients and those with complex conditions such as congestive heart failure (CHF), NSTEMI, acute kidney injury (AKI), hypertension, and atrial fibrillation. The unit is telemetry-equipped, offering continuous cardiac monitoring and the capability to manage cardiac drips and stable ventilator patients. Nurses on this unit are skilled in neurological assessments, cardiac care, and providing comprehensive treatment in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The Registered Nurse is accountable for managing patient care during a designated timeframe, including coordination, evaluation, teaching, and delegation of patient activities through the nursing process and the environment.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Nursing required.
- BSN degree preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required.
- BLS required.
- Previous medical surgical experience preferred.
- Must be computer proficient.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
