About The Position

Progressive Care-Telemetry at Augusta Health is a 32-bed unit caring for adult patients with a wide variety of acute medical problems, including cardiac, neuro, renal, infectious disease, and pulmonary conditions. As an RN on this unit, you will be responsible for coordinating direct patient care, education, and leading the patient care team in a fast-paced environment. Nurses on this unit are trained in cardiac rhythm interpretation and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure the highest quality of patient care. This role offers opportunities to participate in shared governance, promote evidence-based practice, and lead organizational change. The team is dynamic and hardworking, focused on meeting individual patient needs and ensuring the best patient experience. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the coordination of direct patient care, education, and serves as a leader of the patient care team, working closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. This position is located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Fishersville, VA, at Augusta Health, an independent, community hospital recognized for its excellence.

Requirements

• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Positive attitude, with enthusiasm for caring for our community
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective time management skills
• Solid critical thinking skills and a strong application of the nursing process
• Must have effective adherence to infection control practices

Nice To Haves

• BSN or ADN currently enrolled in a BSN program preferred
