About The Position

Premise Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) to provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Cleveland, NC. This is a flexible, as-needed opportunity that allows you to pick up shifts while enjoying the stability of a dedicated onsite health center and a collaborative, supportive team. You will gain diverse clinical experience caring for patients ages 2+ with a variety of needs, from acute visits and physicals to chronic condition management, in a setting different from a traditional hospital or urgent care. Requirements

  • Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required
  • Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
  • Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
  • At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
  • Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
  • Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
  • Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
  • Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
  • Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
  • Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
  • Performs other duties as assigned
