About The Position

This position is for a Cardiology Registered Nurse PRN. The nurse is accountable for utilizing the nursing process, performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks, and supervising other patient care staff. The role involves coordinating the plan of care for assigned patients and consulting with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The clinical nurse must demonstrate proficiency and adhere to policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures. In a clinic setting, responsibilities include providing professional nursing care, telephone triage, managing patient flow, coordinating patient care, scheduling emergent appointments, identifying patient and family learning needs, providing advice, inserting intravenous access with medication administration, and other duties as assigned. The nurse will delegate tasks to clinical staff based on competencies and scope of practice, serve as a subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation, enter admission orders as directed by a provider, and manage expired samples. The ability to work both autonomously and in a team atmosphere is essential, along with excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor. The role may also involve covering Medical Assistant, LPN, or other office duties as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 years Registered Nurse experience
  • Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
  • Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
  • Associate Degree

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process.
  • Perform patient care.
  • Delegate patient care tasks and supervise other patient care staff.
  • Coordinate the plan of care for assigned patients.
  • Consult with the healthcare team when indicated.
  • Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients.

  • Manage expired samples.
  • Work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
  • May cover Medical Assistant, LPN, or other office duties as needed.
