About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting in coordinating total nursing care for the perioperative patient by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating. Participates in patient and family teaching. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the surgical setting. Duties include circulating surgical cases, pre-operative patient care, and PACU post-operative patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with either a Bachelors of Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse License (RN) issued by the Kansas State Board of Nursing, or possess a compact license authorized to work in the state of Kansas.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
• 3 years of previous nursing experience required.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of Operating Room (OR) Nursing experience preferred.
