Registered Nurse - Primary Care (PRN)
About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work within our Ambulatory Care Center at the Dumfries Health Center in Dumfries, VA. This is a PRN opportunity, Monday – Friday and occasional Saturdays. We provide out-patient clinic services to enlisted and retired military personnel in association with Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital. The position offers an outpatient environment with updated facilities, a flexible schedule (Monday-Saturday, 8-hour shifts between 7 am-8 pm), a safe and secure environment, a compliant and appreciative patient population, and the opportunity to give back and care for our Nation's military and their dependents.
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen
- Current BLS for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
- At least 2-years’ experience as a Primary Care RN
- Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required
- Excellent customer service skills.
- An understanding of medical and clinic settings.
- Shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with patients and other staff members.
Nice To Haves
- Triage experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- include bi-weekly Saturday Shifts: 6am to 2pm
Responsibilities
- Patient assessment, triage, and monitoring
- Execution of physicians' orders within the guidelines of standard nursing practice
- Provide treatment and discharge instructions upon patient release
- Documentation of patient care and observations
- Patient education and emotional support
