About The Position

Saint Luke's Primary Care Clinic in Shoal Creek is seeking a Full-Time RN to join their team. This position offers a hybrid opportunity after a 4-month orientation period. The role involves providing professional nursing care in a clinic setting, including telephone triage, patient flow management, coordination of patient care, scheduling emergent appointments, patient and family education, and inserting intravenous access with medication administration. The RN will delegate tasks to clinical staff, serve as a subject matter expert for patient education and documentation, enter admission orders as directed by a provider, and manage expired samples. The position requires the ability to work both autonomously and in a team atmosphere, with excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor. The RN may also cover Medical Assistant, LPN, or other office duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
  • Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
  • Provide telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient care.
  • Schedule emergent need patient appointments.
  • Identify learning needs for patients and families, provide advice and recommendations.
  • Insert intravenous access with medication administration.
  • Perform duties as assigned based on clinic need.
  • Delegate tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing.
  • Enter admission orders as directed by provider.
  • Manage expired samples.
  • Work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.
  • May cover Medical Assistant, LPN, or other office duties as needed.
