Registered Nurse-Primary Care-Ambulatory
About The Position
Join Indiana University Health’s Primary Care team in Nashville, Indiana, as a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) in a collaborative ambulatory care setting dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. This flexible opportunity supports a busy clinic with four primary care providers, including one physician and three nurse practitioners, as well as visiting Urology specialists. In this role, you will provide RN triage support for patient calls, messages, and clinical concerns, perform nurse visits, assist with patient rooming, and help maintain efficient daily clinic operations. The RN will float between providers to support clinic flow and provide coverage during vacations, absences, and FMLA leaves. Located at 100 Maple Leaf Boulevard in Nashville, this position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients while working alongside a supportive care team in a welcoming community. Occasional training in Bloomington may be required with mileage reimbursement provided.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of RN experience.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.
- Requires ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.
- Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
- Requires ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
