Registered Nurse (Preop/Postop)
About The Position
Our patients are our number one priority! We're committed to giving children back their childhood! This role is located at the Frisco - Ambulatory Surgical Center and operates Monday - Friday with three 10-hour Day Shifts. The Registered Nurse will manage, delegate, and coordinate quality nursing care, assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment, and develop an effective working relationship with peers, departmental leadership, and the interdisciplinary team. Accountability for professional practice includes participating in educational activities, maintaining clinical competency, licensure, certifications, and completing mandatory education. The role involves delivering family-centered, child-focused patient care using the nursing process, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice. Opportunities exist to serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, or competency validator, and to participate in departmental and/or hospital-wide committees or task forces. The nurse will also participate in and support departmental and organizational change, providing suggestions and demonstrating the Scottish Rite CARE RITE values.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing required
- Current Texas RN license or eligible for a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
- 2 or more years nursing experience required
- Pediatric experience required
- American Heart Association BLS
- PALS certification
- Competent in Windows OS and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- EPIC experience required
- Full time or part time status required
- Must submit proof of meeting the requirements as outlined in the Nursing Professional Development Advancement Program document annually to obtain and maintain RN III status

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
