Registered Nurse - PreOp/PACU
About The Position
The Opportunity: Saint Luke’s East in Lee's Summit is seeking a PreOp/PACU RN to join their Perianesthesia team. In this position, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients with various conditions and acuity levels undergoing various procedures including; but not limited to orthopedics, total joints, sports medicine, GYN, urology, plastics, general surgery, ophthalmology, and some spine. Shift Details: FT- Days. This position takes call. Callback response time is 30 minutes. This is a tight knit collaborative team that supports each other and are willing to go above and beyond for their peers, our patients and their families. They are a customer focused team where patient experience is a top priority.
Requirements
- 1 year Applicable Experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
- Associate Degree - Nursing
Responsibilities
- Provides pre-operative and post-operative care for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
- Utilizes the nursing process
- Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff
- Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures
