About The Position

Jersey Shore Ambulatory Surgery Center (Jersey Shore ASC) in Somers Point, New Jersey, is a modern outpatient surgery center featuring four operating rooms and a patient-centered approach to care. The center provides a cost-effective alternative to hospital-based surgery, offering services in orthopedic total joint replacement, sports medicine, podiatry, ophthalmology, spine surgery, pain management, and general surgery. Fully compliant with New Jersey Department of Health, Medicare, and AAAHC standards, Jersey Shore ASC is partnered with Compass Surgical Partners to combine clinical excellence with industry-leading operational expertise. Dedicated to safety, comfort, and personalized care, the center delivers a seamless experience from pre-op through recovery. The Registered Nurse (RN) supports pre-op, PACU, and stepdown patient care. This position is responsible for assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Current NJ RN license (unencumbered)
• At least 1 year of perioperative nursing experience (within last 3–5 years)
• Current BLS
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• ACLS required within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in perioperative settings
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery
• Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members and patients
• Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety protocols
• Support patient education and post-op instructions
