About The Position

Horizon Surgery Center Beaches, located on the campus of Baptist Medical Center, is a physician-led ambulatory surgery center dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered outpatient care. The facility features three active operating rooms specializing in Orthopedic Hand, General Surgery, and Neuro-Spine procedures. In partnership with Compass Surgical Partners, this collaboration fosters a culture where both patients and staff can thrive. This position is open due to continued growth. The Registered Nurse (RN) supports pre-op, PACU, and stepdown patient care. This position is responsible for assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Current FL RN license (unencumbered)
• At least 1 year of OR or perioperative nursing experience (within last 3–5 years)
• Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months)
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• Member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN)

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in perioperative settings
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery
• Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members and patients
• Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety protocols
• Support patient education and post-op instructions
