About The Position

As a Registered Nurse (RN) Preceptor, the work you do every day makes a difference in the lives of our patients by ensuring the quality and safe delivery of home health services. You will complete clinical training for all new-hire field staff and collaborate with the training team to ensure the delivery of high-quality training. You will ensure the Conditions of Participation (CoP) for Skilled Home Aides are met by providing required competency evaluations at hire and at any time deemed necessary by the agency. This role also includes providing training for home health aides when new education is required and supervising aides during the supervised practical portion of their training.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of employment
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with at least one (1) year in home health care
• Ability to meet all physical demands of the role

Nice To Haves

• Previous clinical training experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper training and documentation techniques are taught in accordance with CMS guidelines
• Provide training and supervision of home health aides during the supervised practical portion of training
• Work in the field with patients and staff as needed
• Ensure the quality and safe delivery of home health services
• Monitor field nurse activities related to OASIS completion, ICD-9 coding, and other clinical requirements
• Work with the Training Team to deliver complete initial and recurrent clinical training
• Collaborate with the Training Manager on new initiatives
• Partner with the Quality Team to improve patient outcomes
• Develop tools and learning aids for field staff and annual clinical competencies
• Collaborate with the Training Manager to develop clinical care documents, disease management processes, and clinical policies
• Review clinical documentation
• Maintain current knowledge of Medicare, federal, insurance, company, and hospital guidelines, policies, and protocols
