Requirements

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

Responsibilities

• Providing extended care recovery to post-procedural/surgical OPIB patients.
• Caring for patients before and after surgery, endoscopies, and other procedures requiring anesthesia.
