About The Position

The CORE Institute is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for their Pre-Admission Testing department. This role focuses on patient care assessment, planning, and evaluation to achieve identified outcomes and metrics, ensuring safe patient care delivery according to hospital policies. The nurse will assess patients, coordinate care with anesthesia prior to admission, guide patients through necessary pre-procedure testing, and implement appropriate standards of care. The position also involves performing and documenting clearances, sending cases for anesthesia review, and maintaining strict confidentiality of patient and facility information.

Requirements

Associates degree in nursing required
Minimum of five years of nursing experience is required.
Current RN licensure in the state of Arizona.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

a bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
At least one year of PAT experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, evaluate, and ensure the implementation of patient care to achieve identified outcomes and metrics.
Deliver safe patient care according to hospital policy and procedures.
Assesses patient status by phone or in person and documents appropriately.
Works with anesthesia to coordinate care prior to patient admission.
Acts as a guide for patients in obtaining necessary testing in preparation for their procedure.
Implements appropriate standards of care based on assessment data.
Assumes an active role in the provision of quality nursing care.
Performs and documents clearances as needed.
Sends cases to anesthesia for review, as appropriate.
Maintains confidentiality of all facility and patient information as required by facility policy.
