About Our Postpartum Unit Mt Auburn's 28-bed Postpartum Unit is built around a family-centered, couplet care model, keeping mothers and newborns together to support bonding, recovery, and early parenting. Each unit includes a Level I Nursery for procedures or additional care when needed. We are proud of our strong culture of low-intervention, patient-centered birth, with a high rate of midwifery-supported deliveries and excellent outcomes for families. The Role As a Postpartum Registered Nurse, you will care for mother-baby couplets, supporting both physical recovery and newborn transition. You will provide education on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery while ensuring a safe, compassionate patient experience. Nurses typically care for 3 couplets, with flexibility based on patient needs, and work closely with a collaborative interdisciplinary team. Why Mt. Auburn? At Mt.
