The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care as per the nursing process. This role involves directing, delegating, and coordinating all nursing care provided by other staff such as LPNs, CNAs, Patient Care Companions, and Unit Clerks, ensuring consistency with their roles, responsibilities, and skill levels. Assignments must be performed appropriately to the age and developmental level of the patient population being served.
