About The Position

As a Registered Nurse in our Podiatry Clinic, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals receiving specialized foot and ankle services in the outpatient setting. Working closely with the podiatrist and interdisciplinary care team, you will support patients throughout their care journey, from preventive services and diabetic foot care to procedural assistance and post-operative follow-up. This role combines clinical expertise, patient education, care coordination, and a commitment to quality outcomes and patient safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current Registered Nurse DORA required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
  • Accredited Foot Care Nurse Certification, Certified Foot Care Nurse (CFCN®), or equivalent specialized foot and nail care training with supervised clinical practice required within six (6) months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
  • Minimum three (3) years of clinical nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, obtain and document clinical information, and monitor patient status throughout the continuum of care.
  • Provide skilled nursing care, including medication administration, treatments, injections, and validated foot and nail care procedures in accordance with scope of practice and organizational policies.
  • Assist the podiatrist with patient evaluations, office-based procedures, treatment planning, and post-operative care management.
  • Coordinate patient care activities, including referrals, diagnostic testing, imaging, specialty consultations, durable medical equipment, and follow-up services.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, diabetic foot care, surgical recovery, preventive health measures, and self-management strategies.
  • Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and other departmental initiatives to support exceptional patient care.
