Registered Nurse - PICU - Nights
About The Position
Endeavor Health is seeking experienced Registered Nurses with a minimum of 18 months of recent or current inpatient experience in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This is an evergreen opportunity, meaning a single application will be considered for current and future RN openings across the system. Opportunities are available in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at locations such as Edward Hospital. The role involves providing professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Key responsibilities include utilizing critical thinking, assessing patients, recognizing changes, planning and evaluating care, monitoring progress, recording observations, and delegating appropriate tasks. The nurse functions as a team member to achieve unit goals.
Requirements
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
- BLS through AHA and PALS certification
- Minimum of 18 months of recent or current inpatient experience in PICU

Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients’ condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records pertinent observations.
- Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
- Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
