Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ultra-sound and micro-introducers for PICC line placement
  • Experience teaching patients and staff
  • Experience trouble-shooting and repairing central venous catheters

Responsibilities

  • Assessment and placement of peripherally inserted central catheters using ultra-sound and micro-introducers for the adult patient population, including both in-patients and outpatients.
  • Facilitates the achievement of the defined standard of intravenous care for all patients within the facility.
  • Teaching both patients and staff, trouble-shooting and repairing various types of central venous catheters.
  • Maintain and generate quarterly reports.
  • Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
