About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Registered Nurse - Physical Medicine - Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Case Manager at Naval Medical Center San Diego in California. This position offers full-time employment, Monday through Friday, with shifts scheduled between 0700 and 1700 hours. Shifts are typically 8.5 to 9 hours, including an uncompensated lunch break. This role provides an opportunity to care for military personnel and work directly with medical case management for patients requiring intensive services. The nurse will collaborate with the TBI multidisciplinary team to address patient care, communication, policies, and resources, and will serve as a liaison with community agencies. The position also involves educating patients and their families about resources available in both the medical treatment facility and the community.

Requirements

• Possess a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Diploma from a Nursing Program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Possess a minimum of 1 year experience.
• Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Current, full, active and unrestricted license to practice as a clinic nurse in any state, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with medical case management for patients who require intensive services.
• Collaborate with the TBI multidisciplinary team members to resolve issues related to patient care, communication, policies, and resources.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining liaison with appropriate community agencies and organizations.
• Serves as a resource to patients and their families to provide education, guidance and resources both in the MTF and community settings.
