About The Position

As a Periprocedural Anticoagulation RN, you’ll play a vital role in preparing patients anticoagulation plan for surgeries and procedures. This position will have the opportunity to cross train to preadmissions and focus on patient education and coordination rather than hands-on care, making it ideal for nurses who excel in organization and interpersonal communication.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum)
Active RN license in Wisconsin
Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider CPR

Nice To Haves

Minimum 1 year of RN experience, preferably in surgical, perioperative, or med/surg areas
Ability to work across multiple specialties and navigate complex organizational structures
Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to manage workload and delegate effectively
Adaptability and situational awareness to meet patient needs over the phone
Proactive, collaborative attitude

Responsibilities

Provide periprocedural anticoagulation plan management
Collaborate with providers (MDs and APCs) for complex cases.
Conduct phone calls and to review pre-op plans and instructions, verify medications, and ensure chart accuracy.
Work closely with multiple departments, including OR, surgery clinics, preadmissions, pharmacy, and social work.
Participate in department-based projects and cross-training opportunities (preadmission)
