About The Position

The Pediatric Emergency Department at IU Health North hospital treats a variety of patients including those with neurological, cardiac, respiratory, orthopedic, endocrine, urinary, gastrointestinal, and integumentary complaints. A registered nurse in the Peds ED will collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists to provide excellent, compassionate care to our patients. Requirements

• Minimum of one year of RN experience.
• Associates of Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
