About The Position
We are seeking experienced Pediatric Registered Nurses for inpatient pediatric units in Syracuse, New York. Candidates should have recent acute care pediatric experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center and be comfortable working in a high-acuity pediatric environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care pediatric experience required
- Experience must be within the past 2 years
- Experience in hospitals of similar or greater size or trauma centers required
- Current New York State RN license/registration required
- BLS certification required
Nice To Haves
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Preferred experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers
- Strong pediatric nursing assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for pediatric inpatients
- Perform patient assessments and monitor clinical status
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Document patient care accurately within the EMR
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and family-centered care
- Respond effectively in acute and emergency situations
