About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Pediatrics utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of pediatric patients from admission through discharge or transfer. This role provides expert care and education to patients in a clinical setting, acting as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents, and manages patient loads within assigned timelines. This position is 1.0 FTE, comprised of 0.6 FTE in Sedation and 0.4 FTE on the Pediatric Floor.

Requirements

Current state RN license
Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
Minimum of 3 years of Pediatric Sedation and PICU experience required

Nice To Haves

PALS within six (6) months of hire
BSN
Pediatric certification

Responsibilities
