About The Position
This position requires a Registered Nurse with at least 12 months of permanent experience in pediatrics. The role involves caring for patients with Tracheostomy, Ventilator, and central line needs. Candidates must possess a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from AHA or American Red Cross are mandatory. Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores is also required.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in pediatrics.
- Experience with Tracheostomy care.
- Experience with Ventilator care.
- Experience with central line care.
- Permanent Ohio license or Compact State license in hand.
- AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification.
- AHA or American Red Cross PALS certification.
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition test during orientation.
- Ability to pass safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients.
- Manage patients requiring Tracheostomy care.
- Administer care for patients on Ventilators.
- Perform central line care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition.
- Educate patients and families on care plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
