Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care Pediatric hospital experience required

Nice To Haves

• Current NRP (AAP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Provides direct patient care within scope of practice
• Leads and supports patient and family education
• Guides and oversees activities of nursing support staff
• Maintains established standards of care in the Pediatrics Unit
• Accountable for care of assigned patients
• Communicates changes in patient condition to physicians, including: Cardiac monitoring results, Diagnostic findings, Symptoms and clinical status
• Responds promptly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment response
