About The Position
UW Medical Center-Montlake's Pediatrics Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Per Diem Registered Nurse. The Pediatrics Clinic provides comprehensive primary and specialty care for babies, children, teenagers, and young adults up to age 21. Services include well-child checkups, developmental screenings, acute illness treatment, school and sports evaluations, environmental health consults, pediatric allergy assessments, guidance on behavioral concerns, and hearing and vision screenings.
Requirements
- 2 years of recent pediatric nursing experience
- Active BLS
- Active licensure to work as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
Responsibilities
- Educate patients and their families on ongoing healthcare needs
- Assist our providers with routine pediatric assessments
- Administer pediatric vaccinations
- Handle pediatric phone triage on a daily basis
- Provide nursing advice in person, via phone and via telehealth
- Answer patient calls and eCare messages
- Follow up on medical records and test results
- Manage prescriptions and referrals
