About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric Operating Room position. This role involves 12-hour day shifts in the OR at a Children's Acute Care Hospital, which is also a Teaching Hospital. The unit has 16 staffed beds, and the facility has a total of 455 beds. The nurse will be responsible for assisting in various pediatric surgical specialties including Neuro, Ortho, Plastics, Eyes, GU/GI, ENT, general, a small amount of GYN, spine, and some dental procedures. The nurse will be part of the General / GU / ENT / Plastics call team. The facility has an in-house team available 24/7.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
ACLS certification required.
Must be available for on-call duties: 1 weekend per 6 weeks and 4-6 weekdays per 6 weeks.
Must be able to float to all pediatric MS units and potentially to ICU as RN Assist.
Must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs.
Local radius rule is 75 miles.
Pending License accepted.
Must be able to work 12-hour day shifts.
Must be able to work guaranteed hours from M-F 06:45-17:15.

Block scheduling is not accommodated.
Locals are not accepted.
No cardiac/vascular/thoracic procedures for TN.
Neuro/Ortho/Eye have their own call teams (not TN).

Responsibilities
