Registered Nurse - Pediatric ED (BCH-Mission Bay)
About The Position
The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care to our pediatric population. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams. Carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required. Performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team. Responsible for maintaining the knowledge and abilities essential to the performance of stated behaviors. Carries out legal responsibilities within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act. Accountable to the NURSE SVC SUPV 2 for overall work performance.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of recent Registered Nurse clinical experience in a Pediatric Emergency Department
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- Current American Heart Association CPR certification
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Current American Heart Association PALS certification
