About The Position

Under the direction of the Patient Care Manager, the Pediatric/Neonatal Transport Nurse is responsible and accountable for providing optimal patient care and management in the transport environment during inter-facility transport of both stable and critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients. The Transport Nurse utilizes appropriate institutional protocols and program specific procedures to deliver care during ground or air ambulance transports. In addition to providing patient care, the Transport Nurse is responsible for providing daily oversight of transport equipment and supplies as well as participating in quality and performance improvement activities.
